Get involved with CHANGE. We believe that the primary way of change is through education and empowerment. The Juneteenth FreedomFest is providing innovative ways to instill a sense of pride, honor, and community throughout not just Hampton Roads but across all of Virginia. The Juneteenth 757FreedomFest has combined Legacy & Pageantry to produce a platform that is unique to Virginia and its communities. 

The primary focus of the 2023 initiative is to promote "Virginia's Vision" of equality and inclusion through the Miss Juneteenth VIRGINIA Legacy Pageant platform. The program serves as the official preliminary pipeline to the Miss Juneteenth USA National Pageant. The primary goal is to showcase Black Excellence while simultaneously magnifying the historical contributions of yesterday. This initiative is grounded in the organization's key principles to strengthen common knowledge relating to Cultural Awareness, Financial Literacy, Economic Empowerment, Mental Wellness, and Mentorship for African American youth. Program participants gain extensive knowledge and purpose while gaining access to scholarship funding in their journeys to higher education. 

Show your support for the upcoming state-wide Miss Juneteenth VIRGINIA Legacy pageant. Many are unaware that Virginia played an integral role in Emancipation. It is because of this legacy of freedom that Juneteenth was born. Your contributions are two-fold; it honors the legacy and the celebratory milestone that led to the end of slavery while directly impacting, elevating, and empowering African American youth.
